On Thursday 15th June, a squad of 8 pupils from P6 and 7 headed to Raydale Park, Gretna, to take part in Kirkpatrick Fleming Primary School's Football Festival.
It was a very hot night but some very good football was played by all teams involved.
Our boys team won all of their games in the round robin section before playing off in the final against a very good team from Kirkpatrick Fleming Primar School. After a very even final, Newington came out on top winning 1-0 after a good goal from Finlay.
Well done to the team for their hard work and impressive football and thank you to Kirkpatrick Fleming Primary School for inviting us along to your very enjoyable festival.
